Style Watch: 2014 Essence Festival & the Streets of NOLA
Originally from New Orleans myself, there are three things that I miss most about home: the amazing food, the laissez-faire mentality, and of course, the live music! From Prince to Mary J. Blige, this year’s Essence Festival line up was nothing short of amazing, and as per usual, the crowd was looking sassy, sexy, chic in their concert best!
Now, as a NOLA local, I know how difficult it can be to maintain a fresh, runway look, in spite of the blazing Summer temperatures. Nine times out of ten, I end up looking like a melted hot mess during summer festivities—that is, except for when I’m rocking a cute, flirty skirt or dress! So here is a list of my top 25 looks spotted at 2014 Essence Festival. Bright, breezy, and fun, these ladies are clearly know what it means to stay feeling cool while looking hot!
