50 Shades of Uh Oh: Beyoncé Releases a New Version of Crazy in Love for 50 Shades of Grey Trailer
The highly anticipated film adaptation of the best selling book, 50 Shades of Grey, may not officially be released until Valentine’s Day of 2015, but the titillating trailer really knows how to tease until then. 50 Shades of Grey is an unconventional story of love and lust. Literature student Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson, explores the fine line between pleasure and pain, experiencing sexual enlightenment under the guidance the object of her desire, emotionally tormented billionaire Christian Grey, played by Jamie Doran. Though taboo in subject matter, the 50 Shades book trilogy has become a cultural phenomena, candidly exploring human fantasy and desire. This step to the silver screen is no surprise, however it will be interesting to see how E.L. James’ erotic novel of seduction and sexual politics will translate into Sam Taylor-Johnson’s directorial vision. For a tantalizing taste of the film, check out the trailer right here:
The sensual surge of sexual tension exhibited between Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, wouldn’t be complete without the sultry siren song of the notorious Sasha Fierce, aka Beyoncé. This re-release of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 2003 classic hit, Crazy in Love, places the song in a new, more scandalous context, and is a brilliant artistic choice for the sake of the film. It brings a whole new meaning to her infamous “UH-OH’s”. It certainly has me on the edge of my seat, and counting down the days till the soundtrack and the February 14, 2015 film release.
