Americanah, by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
The Nigeria born author tells the love story of Ifemelu and Obinze, and their experiences immigrating from Africa to both England and the United States. Recently actress Lupita Nyong’o signed on to both produce and star in the in the film adaptation of this epic romance, stating, “It is such an honor to have the opportunity to bring Ms. Adichie’s brilliant book to the screen”. As a person who personally enjoys reading the book before seeing a film adaptation, now is the perfect time to pick up a copy, before it officially hits the big screen.
