I will continue to sing the praises of this series of short films by Cut Video, because they are a great way to educate others about varying female beauty trends throughout history, from all over the world. Seeing the progression of these hair and makeup trends in this condensed format, on the easily accessible platform of Cut Video’s YouTube channel, provides people with more than the average beauty tutorial. These videos can also serve as crash course history lesson, as these cultural trends are often directly influenced by the social and political climate of each era, for each country. This historical analysis, as seen through the lens of female hair and beauty trends, is a feat of artistic genius, which is why I was so happy to see that Cut Video is continuing this saga, with four segments exploring the beauty trends from the past hundred years, for Korea, Mexico, the Philippines, and India. You can check out these breathtakingly beautiful videos and join in on this celebration of multicultural feminine beauty, right here!
